∞ Personality

A quiet girl by nature, Naminé tends to blend into the background, preferring to observe things from a distance. She is quite timid and has a tendency to speak only when spoken to. But she is strong-willed, and will stick to her beliefs once she gains enough conviction in them. More often than not, she can be found drawing a variety of things in a sketchbook. In fact, the blonde has a whole shelf filled with sketchbooks she has filled up over the years.

Naminé is quite shy, and you would have to approach her quite often to get her used to your presence enough to consider you a friend. But once you do, you have a loyal friend for life. Not many people seem to realize this though, so she has very few people she considers friends. She doesn’t look like it, but she does like being around others, as she dislikes being left alone.

Her grades better than most, and she finds it easy to keep it up, as she is always (well, depending on the subject) willing to learn new things. The same can’t be said for sports, however. Naminé is bad at most sports, and she knows it. The blonde does not have much endurance and tires pretty easily. In place of sports, she pursues art in general. She can always be found doing something creative, like drawing, singing, and playing various instruments such as the violin and piano.

∞ Background

The Garnier family was always quite well-off; not poor, but not exactly rich either. Naminé was never particularly close to any of her family members, seeing as they have left her to her own devices since she was little. This has contributed to her shyness, since she is not so sure of what she should say or do in front of people at times. Also, her family is quite disapproving of her quiet demeanor, as the rest of them are social butterflies.

Naminé was sent to Onten Academy, not (just) because of its wonderful reputation, but as a last ditch resort to get her to interact more with others. She does not hate or even dislike her family for this, since she has long decided to go with whatever they choose for her in the future, as she has no clear aspirations. Or so she says. Truthfully, she would love to be an artist when she grows up.
